Discover Salaam Cave, also known as “The Aquarium” — a hidden gem located in Kizimkazi village in the South of Zanzibar*
This is a natural tidal pool where rescued sea turtles live in crystal-clear water. During your tour, you’ll have the chance to swim and interact with the friendly turtles in their natural habitat. The staff will teach you about turtle conservation, how they are rescued and cared for, and why protecting marine life is important.
The cave itself is beautiful — surrounded by rocks and coconut trees, with calm water that’s perfect for photos. It’s peaceful, educational, and fun for all ages. You can feed the turtles, take close-up pictures, and learn about their journey.
